The SS-HD-11-C Trapped Key Interlock operates by using a spring loaded
handle lock mechanism, which is locked when the first key is removed.
Operating the first key allows the secondary key to be released, unlocking
the handle (which is connected to a chain) and allowing access to the
hazardous area. The secondary key (often referred to as the personnel key)
is taken inside the hazardous area to reduce the likelihood of an
inadvertent start-up. Manufactured from 316 Grade Stainless Steel (Inc.
