Wireless Ethernet - WLAN - WiFi
No ordinary wireless router, the Hirschmann BAT54 range features the highest levels of reliability and security to provide confidence for mission-critical networks. They are well suited to providing simple wireless bridging, or creating an industrial hotspot to facilitate mobile network access in factories, mine sites or even construction sites.
The BAT54 range is now expanded 
to span from an entry level WLAN client to a dual WLAN IP67 ATEX Zone II unit. This provides an unique product offering for every application, where apart from the BAT54-Rail Client, all models provide access point, client and hotspot functions with redundant mesh, point to point and wireless distribution systems. Available
in both rail mountable and field mountable versions, and with operating
ranges of up to 20km with the appropriate antennas, the BAT have the
ability to add WLAN / WiFi / Wireless Access Points to any network, no matter the
complexity or location.
- BAT54-Single - New for 2010 - Fully featured industrial WLAN with a single radio that can simultaneously transmit on 2.4/5GHz for added signal path reliability.
- BAT54-Rail - Dual WLAN units and LAN interfaces in one unit for the market's most flexible WLAN.
- BAT54-F - IP67 version of BAT54-Rail WLAN, with single LAN interface and option for ATEX Zone II.
- BAT300 - Released March 2010 - WLAN for up to 300Mbps over the air with the advantage of the IEEE 802.11n MIMO radio wave path which is more tolerant to obstructions than earlier standards. Application:

Examples include the BAT54-Rail mounted in on a DIN rail for mobile data communication on the factory floor or in the warehouse, a combination of -Rail and -F models for data communications between a cable car and station, continuous low-cost data acquisition in wind farms to monitor turbine status, production support logistics systems and just-in-time component delivery.
