DAANET (pronounced Dar-net) is the authorised Australian distributor for Hirschmann's range of Industrial Ethernet equipment, IDEM Safety Switches and Bernecker & Rainer (B&R) Automation products.
Update
- Secomea Secure Remote Communications and AUER Signalling Solutions added March 2012.

Daanet was formed in 2003 by the then Australian Rockwell Automation Distributors cooperating to represent industrial automation products to complement their existing range. Your local Daanet distributor is therefore probably well known to you already. With nearly 20 Daanet distributors covering all states (in capital cities as well as regional centres such as Albury, Bathurst, Bendigo, Geelong, Gladstone, Mildura, Shepparton, Townsville, and Wollongong for example), Daanet members are capable of personally evaluating your network, safety and automation needs, and providing expert advice in product selection.

The first of these brands was the Hirschmann range of Industrial Ethernet equipment from Germany, which have become well represented in manufacturing and infrastructure installations. The Hirschmann range includes managed and unmanaged switches, routers, WLAN, IP67 switches, Firewalls and Network Management Software.

In May 2009, IDEM Safety Switches of the UK were introduced to Australia through Daanet. IDEM's safety switches include tongue interlocks, solenoid locking switches, safety limits, non-contact and rope pull switches. The most recent product development is a range of stainless steel interlock switches.

In July 2009, Austrian Automation vendor Bernecker & Rainer (B&R) appointed Daanet as its distributor for Australia and New Zealand. With a comprehensive automation product range including PLC, Soft Control, Modular I/O, HMI, Safety and Servo Control, B&R offer a high performance, cost effective and superbly reliable automation platform.

In November 2011, Daanet officially appointed Ellisco as New Zealand distributor for the whole range of Daanet products.

March 2012 saw two more exciting brands added to the Daanet range - Secomea Secure Remote Communications and AUER Signalling Solutions.
