To accompany the BAT range of Industrial WLAN, 
Hirschmann offer a range of antennas to suit virtually every application. Typically differentiated by their radiation pattern and gain in dBi, antenna selection, installation and alignment is an important part of a wireless system. For anything other than an unobstructed point to point link, we recommend having a site survey conducted to establish the site's requirements. We can assist with these services.
The Hirschmann range includes the following antennas:
Sector - A beam spread that lies
between Omni and directional, this antenna is commonly used to create well-defined access cells or sectors. This is the type of antenna used by mobile phone networks. Hirschmann Sector antennas provide Directional Diversity, including two (or three in the case of 802.11n MIMO) antenna elements in a single enclosure, providing a voting system to use the antenna receiving the strongest signal.Directional - A Narrow, focused beam to achieve the largest range for a given signal power.
This requires the most care with alignment, (made easier using signal strength meters in the Hirschmann BAT).WLAN Accessories
