Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet
Many simple networks and applications are satisfied with an unmanaged switch, which is literally a plug and play device. Hirschmann have three ranges of unmanaged switch;
- The SPIDER and SPIDER II families provide a
n economical yet highly reliable unmanaged ethernet switch in a compact DIN rail mounting. - The Unmanaged OpenRail range adds redundant power supplies, fault relay (most
models), and an MTBF in excess of 100 years!
With higher port count and industry approvals available (IEC 61850-E, ATEX etc), the Unmanaged OpenRail range also provide flexibility with numerous combinations of copper and fibre port selections. 
For on-machine and other exposed environments, the IP67 OCTOPUS 5TX
is an economical solution to reduce cabling costs, and enabling the
selection of IP sensors, cameras and actuators. OCTOPUS is also available with
management features, with up to 24 ports including fibre.
