Substation Ethernet Switch - Model RSR
RSR - The sun rises on a new kind of reliability.
The RSR has been built with extreme environments in mind - both electrical and mechanical. Locations with high electric fields and discharges introduce noise onto signals, causing errors, resends and delays in data delivery. Further, excessive levels of shock, vibration or fluctuating temperature can cause fatigue in normal switches - the RSR is built to accommodate this world.
Hirschmann RSR is available in two models - the RSR20, and the RSR30 which provides
2 Gigabit uplink ports.
Key Features are:
- IEC 61850 compliant, including GOOSE prioritisation protocol
- Uber-Robust design for harsh environments
- Integrated Power over Ethernet technology (PoE)
- Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Ports
Reliability Plus:
- Metal Housing and shielding for extremely high EMI immunity.
- RSTP and HiPER-Ring redundancy.
- Extended temperature range -40deg C to +85 deg C.
- Redundant Power Supplies in two range options - 24/36/48Vdc, and 60/120/250Vdc with 110/230Vac. These can be mixed on the switch to provide a mix of DC and AC supplies.
- NOT Modular - the extreme EMI tolerance requires that the entire assembly is completed at the factory.
Fully-Featured Managed Switch includes:
- RSR20 - Up to 9 x 100Mbit/s ports
- RSR30 - Up to 3 x Gigabit ports and 8 x 100Mbit/s ports
- Fully managed switch features including redundancy.
- Extended temperature range -40deg C to +85 deg C.
Applications:
- Railway Lines and Tunnels
- Power Stations and Substations
- Outdoor applications subject to lightning such as airports runways, roadways, ships.
